Synopsis:
Superboy receives a threat from the Mental Emperor, who claims to be a member of the Superboy Revenge Squad. The Mental Emperor proves himself a powerful foe, so Superboy retrieves the Phantom Zone projector to exile his opponent into the Zone. The projector fails.

Superboy is then teleported to a planet with a red sun. He encounters Ersork, a Revenge Squad officer who explains his hatred of Superboy. The Mental Emperor is revealed as Jonathan Kent under the influence of Ersork.

The crook intends to exile Superboy into the Phantom Zone, but Superboy has freed Jonathan from the alien influence. He then cures Ersork of the evolutionary effect that resulted in the alien's hatred for the Boy of Steel. Ersork reforms, and Superboy returns to Earth with Jonathan.
