Part II:"The Great Superman Auction"
This story continues in World's Finest Comics #190.
Green Arrow appears with the Justice League in this story. He is still wearing his old costume and does not have a beard. Therefore, this story must take place prior to Brave and the Bold #85 in which Green Arrow's costume was changed.
Synopsis:
Superman falls from the skies over Metropolis and is found dead. Batman brings his will to the Daily Planet which requests that Superman's organs be donated to worthy receipients. Batman is awarded Superman's heart, but he refuses to accept it. The organs are then put into storage until transplant receipients are chosen.
Lex Luthor learns that Motan the Ruthless was responsible for Superman's demise. He also learns about the organs and steals them. Batman is unable to stop him. Luthor then auctions them off and transplants them into the leaders of the Big Four Syndicate. He keeps the heart for himself.
