Synopsis:
Lois Lane is assigned a story to debunk superstition. She defies an ancient curse which supposedly gives her the "kiss of death". Lois kisses a dog, and the dog gets run over by a car. People begin believing in the curse.

Two men Pete Malloy and James Paxton also kiss Lois. They also meet their apparent end. Superman shows up to put an end to the alleged curse. Lois kisses him and he seems to begin dying. The real Superman shows up, proving the other is a phony named Jed Blanton. Blanton, Paxton, and Malloy are crooks who were trying to fake their own deaths with the help of the curse. The scam is exposed, and Lois is no longer fearful of the curse.
