Synopsis:
Andre is forced to resign from the Blackhawks when an old marriage contract is found. Andre's father signed the agreement promising that Andre would marry a French girl named Marie. Only the woman may break the contract, and Marie is enamored by Andre.

The Blackhawks decide to make Marie's former boyfriend Pierre more appealing by setting him up to be braver than Andre. Their plan fails, as Andre is forced to save the day when the things go wrong. However despite the failed trickery, Marie realizes that she loves Pierre after all and releases Andre from the contract.
