Synopsis:
Boxing referee Pop Crocker officiates the final match of his career. Mr. Terrific watches and sees the champ Slash Gates take a dive. Crocker calls a foul on his opponent, awarding the match to Slash. After the bout, Mr. Terrific questions Crocker and learns that gangsters threatened to kill Slash, prompting his dive. Crocker called the foul to foil the gamblers' plan.

The gamblers come after Crocker when they learn of his involvment. Mr. Terrific delays the crooks, so that Crocker can escape. He then concocts a scheme with Slash to expose the gamblers. After the crooks are caught, Slash learns that Crocker is his real father.
