Comments:
This story takes places shortly after Clark Kent was hired at the Daily Planet.

Synopsis:
Shortly after becoming a reporter for the Daily Planet, Clark Kent is hazed by his co-workers. Clark is a good sport and proves himself to everyone including Lois Lane. While Lois is impressed with Clark, she believes Superman is a show-off and despises him.

Perry assigns Lois to cover a story on a remote island. He asks Superman to fly here there despite the protests of Lois. On the island, Superman loses his powers from exposure to Red Kryptonite. He also gains telepathy which enables him to read Lois's mind and learn that she hates him.

Depsite his loss of powers, Superman proves himself heroic, protecting Lois from the natural dangers of the island and tropical weather. Lois begins to change her opinion of the Man of Steel. Superman's powers eventually return, and both he and Lois return to civilization. Lois is impressed with Superman's humility and from that point onward falls in love with the Man of Steel.
