Synopsis:
A falling meteor threatens the town of Smithville. Superman tries to intercept the meteor only to discover that it is made of Kryptonite. Unable to approach it, he is able to deflect it using a boulder.
Ciminals led by Kane Korrel recover the meteor. They begin selling fragments to other criminals to protect them from Superman. Unable to approach the crooks, Superman invents a Kryptonite detector. He equips two robots with the device which allows them to find the crooks who carry the Kryptonite. The crooks then discard their fragments, which are collected by the robots.
Next Superman confronts Korrel. He digs a deep hole outside Korrel's hide-out. When the gangster sees Superman in the hole, he rolls the meteor into the hole, hoping to trap Superman. Instead, Superman uses explosives to launch the meteor back into space.
