Synopsis:
A cyclone strike Eden Valley destroying most of the farms in the area. Wilbur Wolfingham capitalizes on the damage by buying the land cheap then making the former owners believe that an oil well on the land will make him rich. The farmers soon buy shares in the phony oil well, making Wolfingham even more money.

Lois Lane and Clark Kent have been sent to the area to cover the story for the Daily Planet. When they hear that Wolfingham is involved they prove that his well is fake. Wolfingham kidnaps Lois, but she is saved by Superman. The Man of Steel then creates a real oil well on the land and forces Wolfingham to give back the money and property he cheated out of the farmers.
