Synopsis:
Following a destabilization period within the United Planets, sentiment caused Earthgov to turn against the Legion of Super-Heroes, leading them to disband. Five year later, Chameleon Boy, who has been overseeing the business ventures of R.J. Brande, has decided to reform the team. His first recruit is Rokk Krinn, formerly Cosmic Boy. Rokk's homeworld Braal was recently conquered and is now occupied territory. Rokk himself lost his powers during the war and is haunted by memories of the battle of Venado Bay. He lives on Braal with his pregnant wife Lydda. Cham is forced to sneak on world to contact Rokk and convince him to join.

Meanwhile, Salu Digby, formerly known as Shrinking Violet, is released from a stockade. Her homeworld, Imsk, was on the winning side of the war with Braal. However, she was outspoken about their actions during the war, earning herself confinement. Now that she has been released with a dishonorable discharge from her military service, she plans to join Ayla and Garth Ranzz on their plantation.
