Comments:
This story establishes that the adventures of the Roving Ranger take place three years after the Civil War which ended in 1865.

Synopsis:
During the final days of the Civil War Sergeant Bud Huston saved the life of Jeff Graham from a group of Confederate soldiers. Graham promises to repay Bud. After the war Graham becomes the Roving Ranger and is dispatched to Tusco City to locate and apprehend the bandit known as El Dorado. Jeff quickly learns that the bandit is none other than Bud Huston. The Roving Ranger repays his debt by saving Huston from a group of vigilantes. However, he is captured by El Dorado's gang. Jeff escapes, defeats the gang, and convinces Huston to turn himself in to the authorities.
