Synopsis:
Diane Meade summons J'onn J'onzz when an archaeological expedition uncovers a creature which comes to life after being struck by lightning. J'onn fights the beast and temporarily cages it.

Writings on a cave wall show three creatures, one of which can defeat this beast. J'onn transforms himself into each of the three creatures. One beast breathes fire, which weakens J'onn preventing him from changing to his original form. Zook uses his powers to freeze J'onn, putting out the fire, allowing him to revert to normal. He then becomes the beast which is capable of stopping the menacing creature and defeats it.
