Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen investigates a series of missing homeless men. The police correctly tie the abductions to Milton Fine, who now serves as the host for Brainiac. He has been extracting spinal fluid from his victims to stave off the rejection Fine's body is having to the possession of his alien mind. Cat Grant and Jimmy run into Fine and are captured. Brainiac then activates Jimmy's signal watch to summon Superman, who is brooding over his execution of the Phantom Zone criminals. Superman fights Brainiac and nearly kills him. The comatose Fine is then turned over to the police and medical personnel.
