Synopsis:
The Metal Men monitor a solar flare which is transformed into a giant creature by cosmic forces. The creature begins destroying Earth rockets, so the Metal Men plan a space mission to defeat it.
While the rest of the team is planning the mission, Tina participates in a beauty contest to get Doc's attention. Doc disqualifies her because she is a robot. Distraught, Tina runs off and nearly misses the launch of the Metal Men's rocket as it leaves to battle the solar-brain.
The Metal Men locate the solar-brain in space. It's incredible powers take control of Doc and the robots forcing them to form themselves into a revolver. Doc is forced to pull the trigger. Lead manages to resist enough to prevent himself from shooting Doc. The gun backfires, damaging the robots, but Doc survives to finish off the solar-brain. Doc then returns to Earth to repair the Metal Men.
