Synopsis:
At a meeting of the JSA, Hawkman explains that scientist Hebert Crawford has discovered an approaching alien ship. The ship contains beings made entirely of metal. When it lands, the aliens begin eating nearby metal supplies and growing to giant size.
The JSA splits up to handle the metallic menaces. Each member discovers a way to defeat the aliens by using special properties of the metals the aliens have consumed. Strangely the aliens also seem to be stealing valuables.
After destroying the aliens and their ship, the JSA returns to their headquarters. Hebert Crawford is waiting inside to attack them. Crawford possesses powers similar to those of the robots. After the JSA manages to defeat him, Crawford reveals that he is responsible for bringing the aliens to Earth, and he told them to steal. The JSA commits to punishing Crawford, but also to rehabilitating him.
