Synopsis:
Swamp Thing requests an audience with the Parliament of Trees after they interfered with his battle with Solomon Grundy. He meets several of their members who admit that the situation with Swamp Thing and the Sprout has been negatively impacting the elemental balance.
The Sprout is then pulled away from the meeting to join with another host, failed suicide bomber, Alan Bolland. The bomber was supposed to drive a truck loaded with explosives into the Galaxy Communications building. When he spotted Superman chasing Manhunter, Lana Lang, in the skies of Metropolis, the bomber broke off the attack. His boss then detonated the truck and killed the bomber.
Elsewhere, Roy Raymond and his assistant approach Chester. They try to convince him to help them contact Swamp Thing. Chester pretends that he doesn't know Swamp Thing or Abby, until the TV detective gives up.
