Synopsis:
While the Sprout bonds with the soul of failed suicide bomber Alan Bolland, the Parliament of Trees attempts to get Swamp Thing to take permanent root among their number. Using their power over the Green, the Parliament trap Swamp Thing while he is exchanging information with them. However, Alec uses his unique knowledge gained while in space to jump his consciousness to the moon and back. In the process he destroys several of the Parliament members.
Meanwhile the Sprout becomes a wild monster that terrorizes Metropolis. His mind is deranged like that of Bolland. He spouts commercial jingles while tearing up the streets. The "Wild Thing" is found by Roy Raymond, who utilizes the creature's hatred of Morgan Edge to lure the creature away from trouble.
