Comments:
This story takes place early in the career of Barry Allen. It predates his marriage to Iris West and features his first meeting with Jay Garrick. The story is an homage to Flash #123 which tells the pre-Crisis version of the meeting.
Garfield Logan, the future Teen Titan, appears as an 8 year old boy.
Synopsis:
During a super-speed performance for a group of orphans Barry Allen detects a strange harmonic tone. He investigates and discovers that by vibrating his body to match the tone, a city appears on the other side of the river from Central City. When Barry enters the city he learns that it is Keystone City, the home of the original Flash.
Barry locates Jay Garrick and his wife Joan who are in a trance like state. Barry awakens Jay. The two Flashes then seek out the source of the harmonics. Three of Jay's old foes, the Thinker, the Fiddler, and the Shade are responsible. The three villains have created a device that has effectively hidden the city for years and blanked out the memories of it from the rest of the world. The Flashes stop the villains and destroy the machine. Keystone City returns to its rightful place across the river from Central City.
