Comments:
This story is continued from Animal Man #19.

Animal Man requests a leave of absence from the Justice League in this story. However, he still attends the meeting with Captain Atom in Captain Atom #38 and helps Metamorpho with his son in Justice League Europe #11 and Justice League Europe #12 before beginning his leave.

Synopsis:
Buddy copes with the loss of his family. His friends console him. He then attends the funeral. The Justice League is also in attendance. Buddy resigns from the team. As he collapses into misery, Buddy receives a call from the Mirror Master who has the name of the killer.

Meanwhile, that killer, Lennox, reports to his bosses. He also helps to test a new robotic killer, Bug-Man.
