Synopsis:
Linda and Nabu have joined forces to become Doctor Fate. They confront Benjamin Stoner who has been transformed by the Lords of Order and Chaos into the Anti-Fate. Stoner attacks Fate, who is unable to fully resist because Linda and Nabu are not meant to be joined. However, Fate is able to move the battle to the Tomb of the Avatar. A holy light then intercedes and shows Stoner a way to transcend the opposing forces of Chaos and Order. He rejects both forces ceases the fight with Fate.
Elsewhere, Jack Small and Petey find Joachim Hesse inside Fate's amulet. Hesse leads them to the original Doctor Fate.
