Synopsis:
Captain Atom is dispatched to the California forest to track down alien power signals detected by the JLI embassy. He finds the ruins of a truck stop. When he tries to question a man in the woods, the man attacks him.

Green Lantern receives a signal from the alien he rescued in space that he left in the woods. When he arrives, he finds Captain Atom fighting the alien who has taken the form of action hero Randy Violent. Green Lantern communicates with the alien who has completed repairs on his ship and is about to leave.

However, Captain Atom doesn't understand. While Green Lantern is distracting the alien, Captain Atom destroys his ship. The alien disappars in the resulting explosion.
