This story is continued from Green Lantern:Emerald Dawn #5.
Synopsis:
Legion, now free from its armor, begins growing at an exponential rate. It burrows into the surface of Oa and threatens everyone on the planet. The Guardians prepare to evacuate. Hal refuses to obey their orders. Instead he enters the central power battery itself. Channeling the entire power of battery, Hal is able to lift Legion off the surface and trap it in outer space.
The Guardians order the rest of the Corps to return Legion to its homeworld. They then meet with Hal, who is exhausted and has no memory of what actually happened. The Guardians are exasperated by Jordan's behavior, but they officially designate him as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814.
Hal returns to Earth. He serves his jail sentence for drunk driving. After release, Hal rejoins Ferris and eventually becomes a pilot again.
