Two radio personalities are murdered after they receive threats against their lives. When a third man, Fred Smith, is threatened, the Crimson Avenger investigates. He briefly encounters the killers, but they escape.

To protect the next intended victim, the Avenger disguises himself as Smith and takes his place in the radio studio. He then feigns death at the time indicated in the threat. Before the police arrive, the killers try to take away his body. He surprises them and exposes the station's elevator operator as the ring-leader of the murderers. The man, who worked for a rival sponsor, used gimmicked watches with poison needles to kill his victims.
