Year 3 Part 2
This story is continued from Batman #436 and continues in Batman #438.
Dick Grayson becomes Bruce Wayne's ward and then Robin in flashback. The post-Crisis version of these events was first shown in Secret Origins #13. This flashback expands on the flashback in that story and provides new details. These events occur two months after the Graysons are murdered.
Synopsis:
Nightwing searches the streets to find Batman. He follows a trail which leads him to the site where a helicopter took down a building with a missile. Batman is caught in the rubble. Nightwing helps him escape, but Batman is ungrateful for the assistance.
Batman returns to Wayne Manor where Alfred has received news about Zucco's upcoming release from prison. Nightwing follows Batman, but Bruce leaves without a word. Alfred recalls how Dick first came to live with Bruce and became Robin.
Batman crashes a meeting of the city mob bosses who are trying to find the assassin targeting them. Batman has an idea to help unmask the killer, but the criminals turn against him.
