Synopsis:
Skyman returns to his apartment and experiences a waking vision of fairytale characters. After the vision passes he is met by Power Girl, who along with Jonni Thunder and Infinity Inc. have planned a surprise party for his birthday. The party is interrupted by a news report of a hostage situation at a theme park.
Infinity Inc. races to the park and find real goblins inside one of the roller coasters. They follow the goblins through a magic doorway in the sky to the land of Grimmworld. Most of the team finds that their powers have disappeared. Only Jade and Obsidian retain their abilities. The Infinitors are quickly captured by the queen of Grimmworld, the Lorelei.
The captive heroes also meet the Wizard who they believed to be dead. He explains that Hourman had only killed an illusion. The real Wizard escaped and found his way to Grimmworld. He explains that the Lorelei had attacked Earth once before but was defeated by the Justice Society in 1948.
Back in Virginia, Nuklon and Fury have captured Hector Hall, who is now the Sandman. He explains that during the process of being taken over by the Silver Scarab, his soul was taken into the dreamworld by Brute and Glob. His soul was then merged with Garrett Sanford, the Sandman. He can now return to Earth for only one hour per day.
Nuklon learns that his teammates are in trouble via a news report. Hector takes him through the dreamworld into Grimmworld. Sandman is able to free the Infinitors and help them escape back to Earth. The doorway to Grimmworld is closed behind them preventing magical entities from following them back. Sandman then returns to Virginia and carries Lyta into the dreamworld to live with him.
