Comments:
This issue is the first post-Crisis appearance of Infinity, Inc. Though their adventures appear to be a direct continuation from previous issues, the post-Crisis Infinity, Inc. members are considered to be entirely independent from their Earth-2 counterparts.
Further evidence of this transition is contained in Fury's comments about spending summers on Trevor Island with his parents. This comment is referenced in a text article following the story explaining that Fury is no longer Wonder Woman's daughter, since the Golden Age Amazon no longer exists in post-Crisis continuity.
This story continues in part in Infinity, Inc. #34.
Synopsis:
On a flight to Calgary, Obsidian tells Fury his origin. Todd Rice grew up in a broken home with an alcoholic father. Shortly after his adoptive mother left the family along with Todd's younger brother, Todd found his twin sister Jennie-Lynn who was adopted by another family. Each of the teenagers independently discovered that they possessed super-powers. Jennie-Lynn suspected that their real father was the original Green Lantern. After making costumes for themselves the twins decide to confront GL by crashing a JSA meeting at which they met the other members of what would soon become Infinity, Inc.
