Synopsis:
The Warlord, Shakira, and Daimon make a trek across the desert. Their pack horse is pulled under the sand by a sand squid, depriving them of their provisions. The group seeks shelter in a small city. They are greeted there by the Sons of Yaug.
After enjoying a meal with their hosts, Morgan has a troubled night of sleep. When he awakens, he realizes that he and the others were drugged. Shakira is missing. The Warlord and Daimon discover a chamber under the temple where a ceremony is being held. The Sons of Yaug are using Shakira as a sacrifice to a great beast named Yaug. Morgan and Daimon rescue her, then flee the city.
Elsewhere, Machiste and Mariah are tortured by a group of wizard-priests. Mariah manages to take one of them hostage and escape from the island with Machiste. However, the wizards bar their path by making the waters come alive.
