History:
Mariah Romanova was the Russian national saber champion for six years and became a professor of archaeology at Moscow University as well. While still a teenager, she fell in love with her fencing instructor Mikola Rostov. After their relationship ended, Mariah went on an expedition to Peru.

There Mariah met Travis Morgan, known in the realm of Skartaris as the Warlord. Seeking adventure and the opportunity to explore the civilizations there, Mariah accompanied Morgan back to Skartaris. As a skilled swordswoman, she aided Morgan in many exploits. She was in love with Morgan, but later fell in love with their ally Machiste.

Mariah journeyed through tim to Skartaris's long-ago Age of the Wizard Kings, but she recently returned to present-day Skartaris.
