Synopsis:
Zatara rescues Etta Nolan from a killer. She tells Zatara that the man was sent by Chalo, a gypsy magician that killed his own brother to learn black magic. Zatara offers Etta protection and attends a magic show with her. At the show they meet John Dokar, another magician who takes them to a seance performed by Chalo. Zatara and Chalo face off in a duel of magic. Dokar is killed by Chalo, but Zatara gets Chalo and his henchmen to surrender. He then forces them to sign confessions and turns them over to police for the murders.
