Synopsis:
Zatara meets an old schoolmate Rick Evans who enlists his help to search for the treasure of eccentric builder Boris Kartzoff. The Tigress is also after the jewels. She injures Evans in attempt to get the map, forces Zatara to proceed alone.

Zatara then meets a woman who guides him to Kartzoff's tower near a mud pond in Maine. Tigress arrives at the tower as well. Zatara saves her life, then battles Kartzoff who tries to kill them all. Zatara escapes the tower with the jewels, as the mad builder destroys his own creation. Zatara then gives the jewels to Evans.
