Meanwhile, Morgan and Shakira continue their search for Jennifer along the coast. They witness a human sacrifice taking place in a village. Against Shakira's advice, Morgan gets involved and saves the intended victim. The supposed victim then attack Morgan from behind. She was a willing sacrifice. Morgan and Shakira must then fight off the villagers.
After the villagers flee, Morgan witnesses a frozen viking ship being pulled in with the tide. The ship is the source of the villagers' ice dragon legend. Despite Morgan's action, he and Shakira agree that the superstitious villagers will continue their sacrifices once they depart.
Elsewhere, Jennifer Morgan and her companion Faaldren arrive at the castle of Deimos.
