Comments:
This story is told entirely in flashback which occurs during the campaign in North Africa.

Synopsis:
Sgt. Rock takes three brothers on patrol in the desert. None of the brothers has seen action, and one of them is killed very quickly. Rock feels guilty about the loss of the man; a feeling which is soon compounded when both the other brothers are killed too. Rock survives and captures an enemy general. He makes a promise to the dead brothers to bring the general back to camp. Rock is wounded, thirsty, and harassed by the Germans as he marches his prisoner through the desert, but he keeps his promise with the help of Easy Company who fight off an attack just as Rock was ready to collapse.
