Synopsis:
Sgt. Rock and Easy Company are assigned to hold a thin line against enemy attacks. During a patrol, Rock takes out a sniper and discovers that it was only a young boy. The sergeant feels guilty and is unable to fire his weapon during the next attack. As a result a medic is killed. When the attack is over Rock gives up his command to become a medic.
Rock helps the wounded men of Easy Company as another enemy attack begins. The wounded men fight despite their injuries. Rock is still haunted by the memory of the boy he killed and refuses to fight. When the wounded men continue to fight, Rock is eventually inspired to resume the fighting. He distinguishes himself in combat and helps Easy hold the line. Rock then takes back his stripes and leadership of the company.
