Synopsis:
Jonah Hex is riding on a train through Oklahoma Territory when an explosion derails the train. Two thieves try to rob the passengers, but Hex stops them. After the fight, Hex heads for a nearby town where he meets Reuben Gittes, a Pinkerton detective. Gittes blackmails Hex into helping him capture the men who derailed the train.
Jonah starts investigating which leads him to Roy and Billy Cooper, a father and son. Roy is angry that the railroad has taken away cattle driver jobs. When Roy tries to blow up the tracks to derail another train, Hex interrupts him. However, Gittes has a double-cross planned. The detective kills Billy and shoots Roy, while Jonah is shackled. Before dying Roy knocks out Gittes. When he comes to, Gittes finds that Jonah has shackled him to the tracks where a train is sure to run him over.
