Synopsis:
After escaping from the Stolper brothers who try to kill Jonah for the price on his head, Hex heads to Ringwood Oklahoma. To get a free meal, Jonah attends a sermon given by a traveling preacher. The man turns out to be his old friend Jedidiah Kane. The preacher explains that he took up the Lord's work after bounty hunters killed his family. He then knocks out Jonah.

When Jonah regains his senses, he finds himself tied to a tree on a snow-covered mountain. Jedidiah intends for him to die from exposure. Jonah is resourceful and escapes with his life. He then tracks Kane to Ralston, Kansas. The two men have words, then Kane dies in a cave-in of his own making.
