Synopsis:
Johnny Cloud and his squadron meet a group of enemy planes led by an ace named the Hammer. Johnny's squadron loses the fight, but he shoots down the Hammer's younger brother. The enemy ace promises to get revenge.
Johnny and the remaining members of his squadron return to their base and pick up a new pilot, young Henry Short. When Henry joins Johnny in the skies, the Hammer tries to shoot down the young pilot. Short's plane is severly damaged, but he manages to stay in the air while Johnny shoots down the Hammer. Henry then nurses his damaged plane to a safe landing and is accepted as a man.
