Comments:
The three flashbacks in this stories give alternate versions of Plastic Man's origin. Since each one contradicts the others, none of them should be considered authentic.

Synopsis:
Dr. Dome plots to kill Plastic Man claiming that Plas will destroy him in one hour. He schemes to use a time machine to travel back to a time period when Plas was young, then kill him. However, he doesn't know who Plastic Man really is or where he came from. To find out, he uses a triplication machine on his daughter. He then sends the three girls to interview Plastic Man's associates and learn his origin.

Lynx talks to Capt. McSniffe, Micheline DeLute II, and Gordy Trueblood. Each person tells Lynx a different tale about Plastic Man's origin. She returns to Dr. Dome and tries to use the triplicator, so that her father can investigate all three stories. Instead, the machine malfunctions, forcing Dr. Dome to abandon his plan.

Dr. Dome's fear then comes true as Plastic Man explains to police that Dome isn't public enemy #1. In fact Dome has slipped from #14 to #17. Dr. Dome's reputation is thus further destroyed.
