Synopsis:
Linda meets artist Al Mintor and immediately falls in love. When she sees Al commit crimes, she feels compelled to help him as Supergirl. Suspicious of her own attraction, Supergirl investigates Al's background. She finds dolls of her parents and herself as a child which Al has made. Then she rescues Al from a fire. Al is badly injured when he reenters the blaze to save more of his dolls.
In the hospital Supergirl learns from Al that he was constructed in Argo City. He was an android created as a test subject for the survival zone. Due to his mechanical nature, when he was released, he began exhibiting criminal tendencies. Supergirl was attracted to him because his face reminded her of a living doll she once owned made by the same creator. Al's injuries, sustained in the fire, are too great and he dies.
