Synopsis:
A sea monster attacks a group of fishing boats and sinks a freighter carrying a shipment of gold. The freighter captain is also swallowed by the beast. One fisherman, Captain Barkus, dares to go out again, enlisting Clark Kent as his mate. Lois comes along too after volunteering Clark for duty.

When the monster attacks, Superman saves the ship, but Lois is swallowed by the monster. Inside, she learns it is really a disguised submarine run by the freighter captain. He intends to salvage the gold for himself.

Superman goes in after Lois and soon learns about the deception. He raises the sunken freighter, destroys the monster, and rescues Lois.
