Synopsis:
Professor Miles Morrison unveils a crime prediction machine at Stanhope College. The first prediction made by the machine is an assassination attempt on the life of Princess Jeannette. Supergirl arranges to take the place of the princess, but Jeannette's parents refuse. Moments later, the princess is killed in a car bomb.
Next the crime machine reveals an upcoming blackmail threat against actress Astra Allison. The actress refuses Supergirl's help and has her career ruined when the blackmailer make good on his threats.
Supergirl returns to Stanhope in disgrace. The professor's machine predicts Supergirl will retire. The Maid of Might smashes the machine in anger. Filled with guilt, Supergirl rebuilds the machine which spits out another prediction. Morrison reads it aloud only to find it contains the word Kltpzyxm. Morrison is then revealed as Mr. Mxyzptlk and vanishes for another 90 days. The effects of his magic which include everything surrounding Supergirl's disgrace disappear with him.
