Synopsis:
The JSA is offered a reward of one million dollars for their past deeds. They turn down the money which convinces the super-criminal known as the Wizard that the JSA are planning an enormous crime. He believes the heroes are faking their honesty and really plan on turning criminal. When they refuse his request to join them he sends them on five missions to proves themselves.

Hawkman, Dr. Mid-Nite, Flash, Atom, and Green Lantern each act to stop crimes perpetrated by the Wizard's men. The super-crook shows up on each case and attempts to stop the heroes. His efforts are unsuccessful as the JSA stops each crime and recovers the stolen goods.

The team regroups at their headquarters only to discover that the Wizard has tricked them. With his powers of illusion, he has taken the JSA aboard his boat. He sends illusionary monsters against them, but Dr. Mid-Nite solves the secret of the Wizard's power. By closing his eyes, he is able to neutralize the illusions. Wizard throws himself to his apparent death in a vat of acid, but the JSA surmises that his demise was another illusion.
