Synopsis:
When a vampire breaks into the home of Sander Amster to attack Mrs. Amster, Doctor Occult and his assistant Rose Psychic are waiting. The vampire attacks Occult and is immune to silver bullets fired by Psychic. However, the vampire disappears before it can finish the attack.

The next day the city receives a blackmail demand from the Vampire Master. When the demand is not met, people are attacked on the streets, and Mrs. Amster is kidnapped from the sanitarium. Another message arrives at police headquarters demanding that Doctor Occult meet him alone. Occult agrees to the meeting and waits for the Vampire Master to arrive.
