Synopsis:
After lab scientist Brett Bryson dies in a lab explosion, the lab owner Frank Chalmers is investigated for negligence. Chalmers is cleared, but a hooded man who is bulletproof begins terrorizing Metropolis. Sergeant Casey suspects Superman, but fingerprints reveal it to be the suspected dead man Bryson.
Superman observes Chalmers and discovers that Bryson is alive. The explosion has made the scientist’s touch radioactive and left him with a week to live. Chalmers, Bryson, and their assistant Davis concocted a scheme to steal money for Bryson’s soon-to-be widow. Superman exposes the scheme, but Bryson kills Chalmers when he learns his boss double-crossed him. Bryson then succumbs to radiation poisoning.
