Synopsis:
Racketeer Joe Gatson is facing trial on criminal charges. Judge Crane who is presiding over the case leaves the courtroom and nearly commits suicide. Superman stops him and learns that the judge’s daughter, Sylvia, has been kidnapped by Gatson’s men.

Superman traces the men to a shack in the swamp. He rescues the girl, but the men escape to warn Gatson. The racketeer confronts the judge at his house and waits for Superman to return with Sylvia. When he does, Gatson orders the girl killed, but Superman throws Gatson himself in the path of the bullet, killing him. Gatson’s henchman is caught, and Lois Lane gets the story.
