Comments:
This issue contains a one-page text feature: "Origins of Wildcat, the Huntress and Sportsmaster".
Sportsmaster's marriage to the Huntress is revealed in this story.
Synopsis:
While attending a sportsman's show as Dinah Lance, Black Canary witnesses a robbery by the Sportsmaster. The Sportsmaster gets away, but Black Canary follows him. At the same time on Ted Knight's estate, Starman finds his fellow Justice Society member Wildcat caged by his old foe the Huntress. Starman battles the Huntress, until Sportsmaster arrives to help her. Black Canary finally catches up, but she is defeated by the Huntress. The crooks escape with Wildcat as their prisoner.
Starman and Black Canary recover from their defeat and follow Sportsmaster's flying skies back to the crooks' hide-out. Inside they rescue Wildcat, who has learned the villains' plans. Starman and Black Canary then find the villains at a golf course, where they are committing another robbery. The crooks try to lure the heroes into a trap, but Starman is on guard. Instead of Black Canary and Starman being caged, Huntress and Sportsmaster fall victim to their own trap.
