Synopsis:
Mark Merlin visits the remote laboratory of Professor Volo, who shows Mark photographs of the future. At first Mark is skeptical, but when the events depicted in the photographs actually occur, Mark believes the professor. When Mark and Elsa try to leave the area, they come upon an alien spaceship. Professor Volo is inside and reveals himself as an alien named Ecurb. He had arranged the photographs to test Mark.

Ecrub explains that a moon entered the orbit of his planet. Poison is being released from the moon to his planet. His people can't survive on the moon's surface, but humans can. He asks Mark to stop the flow of poison.

Mark lands on the moon with Elsa. They destroy the fume-trees that emit the poison. Then they are attack by a race of intelligent creatures. The creatures were using the moon to conquer Ecurb's planet. Mark escapes and summons help. Ecurb's people thwart the invasion and thank Mark for his assistance.
