Superboy is staying across the lake at the boys’ camp as Clark Kent. When he rescues the girls from a bear, Lana decides to try and uncover Superboy’s secret identity.
Lana attempts to discover Superboy’s secret several times, but Lois thwarts her efforts because she does not think Lana should learn Superboy’s secret. Grateful for Lois’s help, Superboy asks Lois to a dance.
Lana later buries a Kryptonite meteor to protect Superboy from it. Thankful for Lana’s good behavior, he also asks Lana to the dance. The girls then quarrel because they both have dates with Superboy. Superboy repays Lois for her good deeds by saving her life in a boating accident. Neither girl is able to attend the dance, however since both girls have poison ivy.
