Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen is badly sunburned at the beach and asks Superman for help. Superman allows Jimmy to use a Jimmy Olsen robot in place at work while Jimmy stays home to heal. At the office, the robot is contacted by an exclusive newsmen’s club which wants to make Jimmy a member. They will be watching Jimmy throughout the day to see his courage in getting stories.
Jimmy feels that it would not be fair to be admitted for his courage when a robot is really in his place, so the boy reporter makes the robot act cowardly. However, each cowardly act leads to the robot being a hero.
The next day Jimmy meets with the Newsmen’s club president who explains that the open membership spot has been filled. Jimmy is disappointed, but takes the news well. The president then tells him that it was just a test to see how he would take the news, and Jimmy is admitted to the club.
