This story takes place before Lex Luthor turned criminal.

Synopsis:
Superboy is accidentally brought to the 35th century by a museum owner Jirl Xanthro. He learns more about his own future, but Xanthro forbids him to see the exhibits related to his descendants. Xanthro's competitor is a descendant of Lex Luthor, whom is still Superboy's friend.

Superboy helps Xanthro make several movies featuring reenactments of Superboy's feats. Luthor deduces that the aren't real when Superboy saves an astronaut. There were no astronauts in Superboy's time.

Luthor then hoaxes Superboy by making him believe his future descendant has turned criminal and was executed. Superboy returns to his own time ashamed of his descendant. When he prepares to confide in Lex Luthor, he realizes that he was tricked by an illusion machine. After one week, Superboy's memories of his own future are forgotten.
