Synopsis:
Superboy summons a robot to handle the rescue of a train. The robot saves the train although an explosion occurs nearby. Then, while Superboy is on a space mission, the robot acts cowardly instead of helping the citizens of Smallville. The town turns against him believing it is the real Superboy.

The real Superboy sees the problem with his telescopic vision and repairs the controls. The robot corrects itself in time to capture some criminals. When Superboy returns from his space mission, he explains what happened to the town and permanently repairs the robot, so that explosions will no longer cause it to malfunction.
