Synopsis:
The Challengers, along with June Robbins and noted archaeologist Dr. Henry, travel to the shores of the Black Sea where Henry believes the mythical golden fleece exists. While exploring the ruins Rocky locates the fleece in a secret chamber. When he dons the fleece it affects his mind and allows him to conjure up mythical beings such as a dragon.

The Challs try to get the fleece off Rocky, while the doctor and June translate the inscription on an ancient flask. Ace must save Red and Prof from the grip of a cyclops which has been brought into existance. After the rescue, Prof returns to camp and finds that the flask contains a solution that will change the fleece to ordinary metal, removing its power.

While the Challs battle a centaur creature, June lures Rocky close enough to her by pretending to be a mermaid. When he is close enough, June pours the contents of the flask on him, which frees him from its spell. The creatures disappear, and Rocky is returned to normal.
